How long have you been in business?
Since 1970, as a full time business.
What is your primary product or service?
We offer a complete line of beekeeping equipment.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I became interested in beekeeping after realizing that I was ridiculously afraid of bees and wanted to confront my fear of them. I now do bee beards. We manufacture most of our equipment with a fully equiped wood working shop. Previously I was a commercial cabinet maker. We did commercial pollination for several commercial orchards, raised and sold our own northern bred Italian bees and queens, etc.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
At Lagrant's Honeybees, we offer forty three years of experience (we have learned from all of the mistakes we have made).
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Lagrant's has one location in Ware, MA, we do not plan to expand.
Provide detailed directions to your location
From the Mass pike, take exit 8. After the toll booth, go left onto route 32 North. Drive about 10 miles to the intersection of routes 32 and 9 (Main Street in Ware). Go to the next traffic light and North Street. Go left onto North Street. Take first left onto Pleasant Street. Drive 1/4 mile past pond on right, to a "Y", at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Bear left onto Crescent Street. Drive 1 1/4 miles to "Y". Stay straight on Osborne Road. Drive 1/4 mile. Watch for Lagrant's sign in the shape of a beehive on right. Park in front of the large white overdoor. Take the sidewalk to the store (do not drive behind the house).

We accept cash or check.
Which areas do you service?
Beside visiting customers, we also ship country wide.

Frank and Bernadette Lagrant.
